Along those lines, his classroom teacher has the kids write out things they appreciate in other kids and whoever gets the most kids writing about them is citizen of the month. So from time to time, a kid will write about my son. Here is what a couple of them said about my son last week (spelling uncorrected):
I think A should should be good citizen for febuary. He is honest if he finds a lottery ticket on the ground. He is helpful in the classroom. He is caring if some body falls down. I think we should all be like A.
I think A should be good citizen for March. Went A finds a pencil on the floor he goes to Mrs. W and ask if he can ask if he can ask the class whoes is it. Went A find mittes he goes and a teacher and ask that teaher to go to the lost and foneud. Went A see a mess he help who ever it is. I feel is reter for being good citizen.
I didn't quite understand "reter", but I think his classmates have described him pretty well! It warms a mother's heart!
Addendum March 18, 2010:
I found a good citizen filled out for A for the month of October. The child says:
A pays a techen to the techer. He is respectful. A is very smart at maps. He is courageous in soccer. A is very good at soccer. He truthful to the class. He tells the truth only. I think A is very smart and helpful to me.Hehe, he is truthful, that's for sure! I think this child is saying that he tries very hard in soccer, and he is good with maps. It's nice to know that the kids think he's smart. His teacher has been wonderful in letting him share our science projects and his special interests with the class. She loves to see him "shine"! And so do I!
